sleepy time

+Walked the dogs today at Pecan Park. We haven't been there in a while. The dogs have been pretty tired for most of the day after that long exciting walk in the park.

-I remembered why we haven't been in a while. Two excited pulling dogs and one handler makes for a frustrating one hour walk.

+Went to the theater today with K to watch "Tropic Thunder." It was a nice surprise to run into Darrell there. The movie was pretty goofy but it did make me laugh pretty hard.

+Finally purchased "Veganomicon" and I've been reading my new cookbook off and on all day. K and I aren't vegan but after getting to sample some of the recipes from the most generous Chef Chrissy I decided I must own this book too. I love that this book has extra information for some of us less adventurous cooks.

-I want to make the chocolate raspberry cookies (also got to sample this by way of Chrissy....yum!!) but I don't have all the necessary ingredients on hand. Aigoo cham nah!

+I swam with 'cuz K for about two hours today. We slowly swam from one end of the pool to the other as we chit chatted. It was really nice to hang with the 'cuz. She's at a great age now where we can just hang out and talk with one another.

+When I finally got home around 7 p.m. my sweet honey bunny made us some Fantastic Foods' tacos. Mmmm.

+Played Mario on the Nintendo DS Lite and damn it's basically N64 Mario 3 again. I love it!

+Soon it'll be sleepy time and it's going to be nice to snuggle under the sheets for a good night's sleep and not have to wake up early. Nighty night. As K and I like to say to one another as we are about to fall asleep: Sleep tight and sweet dreams.

Vegenomicon is good, but you need Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. Also, try this harness for pulling. It works with most of the dogs I put it on:

I've been vegetarian/vegan for almost a decade. I dropped about 15# the first month of being vegan but hey, they are fat vegans out there too. Cook books are great for entertaining but I rely on just learning to accept that fake meats are usually gross, that sugar/carb cravings will eventually go away and that bland/cold food is okay too. I can't take the raw step, I'm a carb addict.
