Ibuprofen is my friend

Classes have begun this Monday for the new fall semester. Aerobics classes at the Rec Center started back up to and I've been taking advantage of them.

On Monday night I went to "Bootcamp 300" and I have to say I was challenged in this class. It's been a while since I did movements like the crab walk and bear crawl. *we did the bear crawl and after traveling about three steps we'd have to do three push ups. we'd crawl from one end of the gym to other side.

I did these types of movements in grade school but it's pretty rare to be asked to do these movements as an adult.

We were required to run some laps around the indoor track too. We weren't challenged on this necessarily other than just being asked to run a couple of laps at the beginning of the class. There were some groans so I know not everyone was happy to have to run. In the middle of the class when you are about to pass out after sprints and lunges we were asked to run a lap again around the track.

I wasn't overly sore today from this workout but I was a bit stiff from all the push ups I did in this class. It seemed like after every other exercise we were back down to doing push ups.

In this evening's class I went to Trim 'N Tone and I've been to this class last semester. However, the class seems to have bumped up the level of activity and endurance.

Once again I was reminded about grade school because there were about three stations set up. A high knee hurdle, bosa ball lunging madness station, and the all favorite jump rope.

I started with the bosa ball station and had to jump from one side lunge to the next and holy crap I was worn out at the very first station and had to move straight on to jumping rope. *barf*

I feel like I have been to two bootcamp type of classes right now. My neck and shoulders are screaming at me. My abs are tight and I dare not laugh.

Tomorrow I will go to the lunch time abs class and I hope I won't have to do one push up or lift one more thing over my head.

I'm off to die now.

Glad to hear that trim and tone is a good class. I've been itching to get back to working out and my eye is definitely on that class!

You can keep bootcamp though! :)

That sounds like so much fun! I actually do bear crawl and crab walk quite a bit in school, but it is part of my job.
