I <3 friends

Goodness...what a busy fun packed weekend it was.

It started on Friday when Mary picked me up from work around 4:30. We had plans that evening for a girl date to watch Julie & Julia with Chrissy, Amy, Chay, and um Scott. :) He says he transcends both genders so I guess I'll take his word on that.

The movie was such a feel good movie and I loved it so much I wanted to watch it again. I totally recommend this film. Afterward, we headed to UFO Pizza looking forward to wonderful crust, tomato sauce, and toppings. However, the place was bumping with a drinking crowd and live karaoke. We stood around for a bit before deciding to head to the sushi place and I was pretty impressed. I believe my eel and cucumber roll was better than our local place but the seaweed salad tasted almost identical. It was a great evening and I look forward to future dates. I got home around 11:00-ish that evening and talked K's ear off about everything that night.

Saturday morning started early! I went garage sale hunting with the aunt and cousin. The second place we came upon had some awesome bargains for much needed items. I always have great luck whenever I'm with the aunt. I got home in the early afternoon and lounged for quite a while as K went grocery shopping.

That evening we headed over to Miss Chrissy's place to celebrate her 27th birthday one day early. Also, Miss Rees attended with family and she turned two that Saturday. I also raised my rootbeer float into the air and drank to our homey Darrell who also shared the same birthday. I've already posted the photos from Chrissy's bday so you can see it was nothing but good times. We got home a bit before midnight and I marked it as a great day.

K had Sunday morning plans which left me at home by myself. I was supposed to have met a friend who was in town but she had to cancel so I lounged for quite a while. I also watched the dogs roam the backyard and roll around under the sun soaking up the rays. When K got home we headed over to the aunt and uncle's to celebrate the little cousin's sweet sixteen bday with her. We had homemade cake and chocolate syrup that was drizzled over both cake and ice cream.

We went home long enough to feed the dogs and let them play and do their business outside before it was time to leave for Matt & Mary's. We had a wonderful Sunday dinner of pot roast and homemade rolls. Mary also went all out and made a delicious blueberry pie. I'm not too fond of blueberry pie but I must say I have finally found one that I could eat seconds and thirds of and die happy.

I love a weekend where I get to see friends every day of the weekend.

Good to hear that you liked the movie! I'm probably going to go see that one. Good for you having awesome luck with the garage sales. I keep forgetting to go. Don't hesitate to give me a ring if you find a good one!

Michelle, you'll have to tell me what you have in mind and that way I can keep an eye out. :) A good garage sale can mean many different things to different people.

That pie was a snap. I'll email you the recipes for that and the rolls tonight.
